Q: How can I build confidence as a student or intern when I feel nervous or out of place?

Sometimes you have to trick your brain—you have to be a little delusional. If you’re sitting there with impostor syndrome, tell yourself: I belong here. I’m just as worthy as anyone else. Reframe the situation—don’t think, "I’m going to meet the CEO," think, "they get a chance to meet me." That shift changes your energy.

You don’t have to know everything. In fact, we expect interns to know nothing at first. What matters is your willingness to learn and the confidence to bring yourself into the room. Walk in thinking, this is my meeting. That mindset lets you drop your shoulders, breathe, and really connect.
